Truro & the Fal11 pubs checkedOctober 2026
Truro. Bring your food to the pub.
Most people don't know you can. Plenty of pubs that don't serve food are happy for you to bring your own: fish and chips, a takeaway curry, a pasty from up the street. These are the ones in Truro, and each says how sure we are, with its evidence and date.

Run a pub in Truro?
Put yours on the list
If customers are welcome to bring food in, tell us and, once we've checked, we'll add your pub. A pub's own word counts as Confirmed. The same form updates a listing or takes a pub off.
The form needs no account, and what you send is never published. We check each pub before it goes on. There is a GitHub form too, but what you write there is public.
How we check
The pub has told us itself, or its own listing or a published guide says in writing, that outside food is welcome. Each card says where that comes from, and quotes and links it where it is written down.
A visitor says the landlord was happy for them to bring food in. Likely, but it rests on one account.
No kitchen and no word either way. Pubs without food often don't mind, but nobody has said so. Ask at the bar.
Bring a Bite is an independent guide. No pub pays to be listed. Spotted a change? Tell us about it.
Policies change. A new landlord can end one, and a pub that starts serving food usually stops allowing outside food. Ask at the bar, or ring ahead, before you arrive with dinner. Before you go covers the rest.
